Novato Community Hospital Call for hours: (415) 209-1498 The following websites are a good place to start when researching a particular cancer topic online.Tip: A website's address (or url) lets you know what kind of site it is.- For example: www.marincancerinstitute.org is a non-profit organization. (The ".org" at the end of the address tells you this)
- Web addresses ending in ".gov" are for government agencies, or groups funded by the government, like the National Cancer Institute.
- Web addresses ending in ".com" are for profit, commercial sites. Most ".com" sites sell and/or advertise a product or service.
